Default Mystery Science Theater 3000

Either I am blind, or I somehow missed a topic discussing the legendary series which is Mystery Science Theater 3000!

The way it made even the worst of films into entertaining laugh-fests was pure magic.

All you needed was a few friends over to watch with you, and it was perfect.

Even when alone, it was still quite hilarious!

Does anyone know of a way to get the entire series on DVD, or does it not exist?

I have only seen some DVD sets which are in volumes so far.

So far the entire series is no where near being complete as disks. (Roger Corman in particular didn't want his MySTied movies made available, since he died recently I wonder if that will change)

Just as with the plea to pass along tapes in the old days, MySTied movies are now torrented at many sites. There is a rule though that only films that *are not* on disk can be torrented and shared.

Also you might want to look into Cinematic Titanic:
Cinematic Titanic - Homepage of MST3K alumni Joel Hodgson, Frank Conniff, Josh Weinstein, Trace Beaulieu and Mary Jo Pehl.

Joel and the boys are back and doing what they do best.

Its been a long time sense I've seen any of the MST 3000 shows...
And I've never seen it without the robots... I thought the robots
[Crow and Tom Servo I think] were a big part of the comedy,
but I guess not... Well I for one will miss the robots...

What, no robots? I loved MST 3000. I used to watch it late night and on weekends when I was in college.. ah, those were the days. I haven't thought about it in a long time.

The 'bots aren't there as 'bots, but the guys that voiced the 'bots are. You still have the shadows pointing and trying to interact with the screen. The first movie they did was fun, they should have another one or two coming out this year.

Well, I guess that I was not crazy after all.

Maybe I will just have to look into getting some torrents of old MST3K films, and then just buy the official DVD's for all the rest.

Thank you again for your help, and it is very much appreciated!

There is no MST3K without Tom and the rest of the gang, that is purely wrong and I shall have no part.

And now that my rant is over, I think I am going to look around at getting some of the movies in.
