Default Animated movies

Whether these are for kids or adults, do you like to watch animated films. I love to watch them for the most part, I just don't like when the adults ones are left out for kids to watch.

I love animation on film, it really is an art that's been ignored because "it's only for kids" and there are a couple of Disney films that really should have received the Best Picture Oscar in years past and didn't just because they were animated features.

I disagree though that it should be all for kids. There are some good animated films out there that a kid has no business watching (300 comes immediately to mind)

A different question I would ask would you encourage a film industry that is completely animation? Should actors etc become redundant parts in the film business? 300 and the Final Fantasy movie make a compelling case for life-like animation.

I do like animated films in general, but some are harder to get into than others. Some of our favorite movies to watch lately are the Disney Pixar ones, like Cars, Ratatouille, The Incredibles and so forth. And even older (newer) classics like the Lion King hold a special place in our hearts. Although some Japanese Anime is harder to get into for myself, but I do like some of it.

I love really good animation - the best are many of the Disney ones. I'm talking about the true cartoons, not the computer animations they do now. I enjoy those too but I love the artistry in the classic animation techniques.
