Darn it CopyCat, It's not polite to make fun of your elders hearing aids. Someday you'll be old too ya'know (Provided they don't get you on the DNA evidence).

Betty & I watched a movie called Silverado on the tube last night. It >could< have been a mildly entertaining 1 1/2 hour western fantasy except that it dragged on for three hours. A major YAWN that used up more ammunition than the civil war & WW II combined.

I don't care how much of my cat hair they find over there...
It means nothing I'm telling you, a cat will rome I have cat
hair all over... You could probably find some in Hillary Clinton's
house as well...And my little brother has a old Silverado too...
He has put a 454 power plant in it with a polished aluminum
intake manifold, holley carburetor and high performance rocker
arms... It makes a lot of noise and burns a lot of gas...
We are on the same page, right ???

That would be really interesting to see, Indy still being chased by bad guys but he is in a wheelchair.

But hey, I'm not forcing anyone to agree on what I think, its just my opinion. Lets give Ford the last action movie that he deserve to have, his own movie to be remembered.

Anybody still looking forward to seeing this movie next weekend? I heard the preliminary reviews weren't so great. If that's true, then what a bummer since I've been looking forward to seeing it. Apparently, Harrison Ford's age is beginning to show. I've heard some radio stations speculate that it's probably in that category of Sylvester Stallone making an attempt at another Rambo so late in his age.

How many of you are still going to watch it?

Default Cool show tied into this movie

Sci-fi channel aired one of the earlier Indiana Jones movie a little while ago - didn't catch which one - afterwards, they played this cool documentary on the real crystal skulls in the world. Some of the theories in it are pretty farfetched but it's really interesting and thought provoking material. If you missed the show, you could probably google "crystal skulls" to learn more.

Raiders of the Lost Ark is my favorite movie of all time, so I'm pretty excited about seeing Indy IV this week. Some of the initial buzz had me worried, but I've read some reviews today from some folks in their 30s and 40s (like me) that grew up with the Indy movies and almost all of them liked Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

I'm not expecting to love it, or for it to be as good as Raiders. I just want to like it.

I really want to see this and hope I can once it hits the local place. I have some family coming to visit and wonder if they would like to see it during the visit, not sure since two of the people coming more than likely dont remember the first ones. :D

Talking

I don't know, but I kinda see this movie starting out with maybe a younger
relative visiting Indy with a map in the old folks home... And then maybe in
the next scene it will show him and a couple of his decrypted old folks home
friends making a break for it when the evil old night nurse is not watching...
I'm sorry, but its just hard for me to envision a 60 year old man as a rope
swinging, beating up bad guys hero... I can see the old fart now, "Wait a
minute guys, I have to change my Depends, I've had a little accident here"...
lmao !!!

It "depends" (sorry), on the individual. I have an older friend (76) that still works full time, who could carry off the Indy stunts himself. When younger he boxed golden gloves, then boxed some professionally, worked as an underwater archeologist & still worked as a bouncer after the age of 60+. His wife is 18 years his junior. I'd guarantee he could beat the crap out of 99.9% of men double his size & 1/3 his age today. I don't know about Harrison Ford but some folks simply have different clocks than others. Then there's me.
