Thumbs up Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

FlixLover: I have to admit I've been pretty much out of the loop. The only movie that I know is coming out is Penelope, and of course the batman movie with heath ledger. What other movies should I make a point of seeing?
Well here is one for you FlixLover,
you just have to keep your ear to the ground to find out about new movies...

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Crystal Skull” is set to be released May 22

I think this is one of the most anticipated movies coming out this summer...
Its directed by Steven Spielberg, and it stars Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones...
Yeah I know the guy must be 70 years old by now, and it must have been
20 years sense the last Indiana Jones movie... You'd think the guy would
be fighting bad guys from his little rascal scooter... But the old fart looks
pretty spry in the movie preview... I wasn't able to find anything on the
storyline of this movie... But I did notice in the trailer there is the big
truck chase action scene in a warehouse... A location that's strongly
hinted to be the warehouse at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark...
The warehouse where the Ark is kept in the last movie... But we
know this movie is supposed to be about Crystal Skulls and not
the Ark, so I don't know anything... Anything I say would just
be a guess, but I'm looking forward to seeing this one...

^^ Heres the preview ^^

He does indeed look spry for his age. I'd love to look that good at his age. I have always love Indiana Jones movies so I'll be heading out to see this one for sure. Maybe I'll even take my dad.

Yeah he looked real good, but I think the make-up people help a lot
with that... I know I seen him on a talk show not to long ago, and he
looked petty old... And I remember him saying: quote "You know you're
getting old when all the names in your little black book have M. D. after them".
lol !!!

I think it's nice for him that he gets to do one more. After all old heroes aren't supposed to die, they just get really, really experienced at staying alive.

I'll have to get a group of friends together, watch all three in one sitting and then go out and see this one at the cinemas.

Indiana is legend, i've been looking forward for a 4th one for a long time before it was announced. One of those treasured movie characters you grew up watching.

The story is a legend, I agree... But I think they should have replaced
Harrison Ford with a new younger Indiana Jones character, like they have
done with James Bond... Ford was born around the time they were bombing
Pearl Harbor for Christ sakes... Its a little far fetched to think he would be
out there swinging from ropes, and kicking butt...

I'd say differently with Ford on the Indiana Jones movies. This is not like James Bond movie because James Bond is just a code name for Agent 007. For me, Indiana Jones won't be Indiana Jones at all if the actor is not Harrison Ford. These kind of movies are being carried by the actor and not just by the story alone. It is like changing Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter because he is getting old for the role of Harry.

For my part, i'd rather see a definate final Indiana movie with Ford. If they would change him, they better change the title of the entire project. It's just not the same. As for the age, i got no problem with that either. I see your point, but it depends on just how much he's flying around. And of course in what year the movie is supposed to take place.

As for movies like Bond. That particular series have a completely different history behind it. We have gotten used to the ever changing actors in those movies by now. 20+ movies about the same character requires it's share of actors; as opposed to only 4 with indy. Nostalgy plays the greatest part in seeing ford taking up the whip again.

Angry

An interesting observation for a toddler, but I think your wrong...
Tarzan was not a code name, and look how many of them there were...
And it was not the first one that was considered the best...
It was johnny weissmuller who started playing him in the 3rd or 4th movie...
And what about Batman, Superman, and all the rest of the character changes
we have seen over the years... And if we go by your way of thinking, this
will be the very last of the Indiana Jones movies... Unless you want to go
watch him fighting out of a wheel chair...
