Default Wanted

Sometime in June and Angelie Jolie will be back on the big screen in "Wanted". The movie stars two of my favorites, Morgan Freeman and Ms. Jolie so will not be found wanting.

Yeah Bruce I think I'm going like this one too...
I mean just that its got Angelina Jolie in it is enough to make me want to watch it...
I think she is probably about the most attractive women on the planet...
I love that pouty lips thing she has going on...

Then it has Morgan Freeman in it too, I'm also a big fan of his...

Then it got some guy named James McAvoy staring in the movie... lol !!!
Just kidding, hes ok, he has just never really impressed me as a great actor...
The movie is a action packed triller with lots of shooting, car chases [theres a viper Roadster, Sports Coupe in it too],
fights and all that kinda stuff I like in a movie... Well heres a preview of the movie, you guys judge for yourself...

Wanted is actually based on a comic book. The film has been changed a bit to avoid an R rating, (which the comic would definitely get). McAvoy's character is the son of one of the greatest Super Villains ever, and he is recruited into a Super Villain society by Angelina Jolie's character. The movie has made them assassins taking out bad guys. Even with the changes, I'm looking forward to seeing it.

it looks interesting. but i think i'm more interesting in seeing mcavoy in such a role, he's usually in some sappy romance movie (ie "atonement", "becoming jane") so i'm looking forward to see him come into his bad assness (i didn't see him in "the last king of scotland" but i'm sure he had a taste of it there)

Au contraire - the movie DOES have an "R" rating. In fact, I just saw the new red band trailer that came out last week for "Wanted" and nearly wet myself; it looks INCREDIBLE. Soooo much better than the first trailer; I can't wait to see this movie now!

The red band trailer is available here:

Wanted Red Band Trailer - Trailer Addict

It's totally worth watching, just to hear Morgan Freeman scream "Shoot this muthaf**ker!" Morgan Freeman swearing is like listening to a 3-year-old dropping F-bombs; it's just so unexpected that it's hysterically awesome.

Oh yeah, I have to admit this movie is looking really cool! I tend to miss movies like Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and even that The Long Kiss Goodnight for whatever reason, I guess it's just because I most often tend to be into Sci-Fi. But the previews I've seen are fantastic, with a bit of a Matrix feel to the action it seems. So I think I'll have to chalk another one up to my Summer viewing list.

Then after that, me and the GF will have to see Wall-E. That movie looks really good too, but talk about a 180 degree change between the two movies I want to see.

"Mr. & Mrs. Smith" was probably my favorite Angelina Jolie movie to date - but I've got a hunch that there's about to be a new #1 on my list after this weekend! "Wanted" has been getting a lot of comparisons to "Matrix" and "Fight Club", and now that there's all these glowing reviews coming out about it (it's got a 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes!), it seems that maybe that isn't just wishful thinking... should be a fun time at the theater.

Actually the only Angelina Jolie DVD I have is Tomb Raider (the first one), I actually haven't even seen the 2nd one yet (don't know why). But that was my previous favorite of hers, considering I didn't see Mr. and Mrs. Smith. And I thought she was really good in Tomb Raider, but Wanted looks like it'll eclipse all others!

"Tomb Raider" was good, but the second one isn't worth the effort. "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" is better by quite a bit though, although the third act gets a bit goofy. You can tell there's real chemistry between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in the movie... which makes them getting married less of a surprise.

Still, though, I agree - I think "Wanted" may end up eclipsing all of her other films, both in box office and sheer coolness. I LOVE the footage clips I've seen so far - it's got a very "Fight Club"-ish feel to it, which I like, and the action sequences look absolutely insane. I'm there!
