Default Kung Fu Panda

Anyone else think this could be a 50/50 chance? I really want to go see it, after all how often do you get to watch a karate fighting panda, but I'm not sure if Jack Black will come through on this one. For every one of his flicks I like I hate another one...but Angie is in it so at least the husband doesn't have to be drugged to see it.

I'm gonna call this one as a stinker.

However, I'm sure it'll open at #1 and eventually pull in over 100 million.

Dreamworks animation figured out their formula a few years back: Make 'em funny, give 'em talking animals, and stuff 'em full of celebrity voices.

I have no idea if I will see this one or not. I remember watching School of rock when it first came out and thinking its going to be horrible. I ended up getting to the premiere late and the only sit left was the very front row maybe 6 feet from the screen. So Jack has left a bad taste in my mouth, but its possible for a renter. I do like the idea of a fighting Panda though.

Remember when we watched High Fidelity and said "Who is this Jack Black feller? We need to see more of him."

I'm not a huge fan of his either but the fighting panda seems at least moderately cute. I'll be waiting to the DVD, though, as I won't spend much money on "cute".

I did love that scene where the panda sits on the tiger's face. That one got a good laugh out of me. I still chuckle at the thought of it.

The first movie I ever saw Jack Black in (that I remember anyway) was Orange County... In all honesty I'll probably like this movie. I usually like the animated ones - with the exception of that Surf's Up movie - i despised it for some reason. But I'll give this one a go when it comes out on dvd. Most likely not a moment before then though.

Alright, I already know I won't like this before even seeing it.

Even Jack Black cannot save this one for me, and I liked most of the films that he has been in before.

Dreamworks has been milking the cow(no offense Moo!) on this sort of thing for too long now, and I got tired of Shrek after the 2nd one.

They might have hit the brick wall with this one. Time to Pixar up and make something geared towards an older crowd.
