I love a wide range of music styles, whether it's country, rap, soul or rock. I can listen to almost anything as long as it is uplifting. I love gospel music, contemporary christian music, any song with a positive message. I hear enough negativity just journeying through this life on a daily basis. Why would anyone choose to listen to more?

I would say that by only listening to [what did you call it?] uplifting music
you are denying yourself a lot of good music... I have no problem listening to negative
music without becoming attached to it... In fact I don't need lyrics to have some hidden
or special meaning in them... I rarely pay any attention to the lyrics because so many good
song lyrics are just stupid nonsense anyway... Like I love to hear Willie Nelson sing
Amazing Grace, but I also love to hear Type O Negative sing Christian Woman...
And to me the lyrics of both of these songs are just stupid nonsense...
But I'll be dog gone if I'm going deny myself the enjoyment of
listening to these songs because of this...

I pretty much have a huge range when it comes to music. Anything from rock to rap to electronic to dance to hip hop to R&B, I think you guys get it. But what I like the most is things with a good guitar sound or something with a good beat to it.

My favorite artist right now is Chris Daughtery. My favorite group is Casting Crowns and my favorite up-and-coming artist is David Cook. I like Carrie Underwood also. Actually, American Idol has introduced a lot of new talent to the music scene.
