She & Him

She & Him is a duo made up of Zooey Deschanel and M.Ward.

Many of you probably know Zooey from films like Almost Famous, Elf, and most recently The Happening. M. Ward is a pretty well known musician in the indie scene.

After her work in the movie the Go Getter, she was asked to sing a song with M. Ward for the soundtrack ("When I Get to the Border").

After that, he convinced her to share her demos and they produced an album together titled Volume 1. It's out now. Just search on Youtube and you'll find plenty of videos.

I've seen them live and they are great. Zooey is adorable and sounds just amazing live as she does on the album.

She wrote almost all the songs on the album. There are two covers and one song she did not write.

Anyone else listen to them or seen them live?

They are doing several shows this summer including a couple of music fairs.
