I have been married for 41 years. My wife is a Tasmanian, aged 60. We’ve had 3 children: ages in 2008-42, 38 and 31. I am 64, a Canadian who moved to Australia in 1971 and have written 3 books--all available on the internet. I retired from full-time teaching in 1999, from part-time teaching in 2003 and from volunteer/casual teaching/work in 2005 after 35 years in classrooms. In addition, I have been a member of the Baha’i Faith for 49 years. Bio-data: 6ft, 225 lbs, eyes/hair-brown, Caucasian. I'm not going to do the google search thing, after reading the above I feel as if I've known you my whole life...
So you live in Tasmania now, that is that little island under that big island with all the kangaroos right ???
Well I live in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina with all the hillbillies...
Anyway glad to have you join us Ron, make yourself at home... Most of our members here
live in the US and what I like to call "beady eyed hockey fan land" up above us...
So we are all glad to welcome someone living on another part of the marble...

thanks for the welcoming notes, folks. I have felt under-qualified for years. It's all relative. Equality is a chimera. Some cook better than others; some play the piano or garden with gusto and efficiency. I write and only some like what I write. Some writers are good and some aren't. We all have our talents and interests. I'll drop in here occasionally in these years of my retirement(65-80) and old age(80++), if I last that long.-Ron
