I am so sick of this end of the world crap I could barf... Every cockamamie fool and his brother are talking about this mess... Global warming is a big one, rising ocean temperatures linked to global warming will drown us all or cause a climatic shift and we'll all freeze or something... You know like you've seen all the reports/studies/physical data, as well as empirical data that bears out this hypothesis... But the rising ocean temperatures couldn't have anything to do with the Sun and underwater volcanic activity, right??? Na... It hasta be those nasty old SUVs and stuff... Give me a fricking break... Then theres the asteroids, those suxer are bearing down on us too, or so they say... I've even read where this one Professor Dummkopf is saying that mobile phones will one day destroy the earth... Yes you read that right, he thinks that the electromagnetic fields generated by cell phones are as we speak pulling asteroids, meteors and comets toward good old mother earth... And hes a Professor for heaven sake, where do they find these people ??? And then theres volcanoes, black holes, nukes, the sun or a close by star going super nova, or how about a weird molecular disaster, or maybe some physicists could unintentionally wipe us all out while tinkering with particles??? `Oops, sorry... If I was worried about all this stuff, I'd be partying all day everyday waiting for the end... Hearing this stuff all the time, over and over is so dehumanizing... Stop it dammit, I'm sick of it...

But on a more serious note...sorta...I love that picture, lol. Hearing all the guesses about what's going on does get kind of old, but some people need 'something' to talk about, and that's what they focus on. To each his/her own...I just ignore it if it's not something I'm interested in hearing more about.

I'm glad you guys liked, or found my pic interesting...
I chose it because of its representation of just how fragile
our planet is... Flashdrive, I'm quite sure I didn't even come
close to listing half of the possible end of world scenarios...
I only touched on a few of the more popular ones... And it
wouldn't have to be an emergent diseases that could take
us all out... It could be Aids, I'm still not convinced that
mosquitoes can't spread that stuff... I know you wont
ever find me at a backyard barbecue with a bunch of
Aids patients... And Munchkin part of my problem here
is that I do find this stuff interesting, but that is not
to say that I want to see it... I think I get suxed in
to reading or watching this stuff by there fascinating
scenarios... But after its over I find myself mad
that I read or watched it...

*shakes head* At least stupidity isn't contagious. There are so many people who will just believe anything in printed media or the TV. Yes there is data to back up global warming, a new ice age, etc, etc, and so on and so forth. But thats the great thing about data. It doesn't "tell" us anything. We interpret it as we see fit based on what we want to believe its showing. Some conclusions are easier to prove than others, but by lengthening the period studies you can usually change the findings.
