Default Barking dogs?

I have this inconsiderate neighbor who has three dogs that bark constantly throughout the day. What are my best options to deal with this situation?

...or....
Call the Humane Society or the dog pound. They will investigate and if they find it a nuisance will put a note on your neighbors door to take care of it or get rid of the dogs.

Most cities have barking dog ordinances. A call to city hall or the police via their business line may start the ball rolling.

File your complaint through the formal channels. Most pet owners, when faced with a notice from the city will respond even if they are rather inconsiderate as they DON'T wanna lose their dogs. You won't get immediate results, but it's legal and you become the victim rather than a harasser..

Best bet is to look into it, get your complaint ready to go, then speak to other neighbors of a friendly persuasion and see if they'll join in or file their own independent complaint. The city, police and the rude neighbors can't ignore multiple party complaints for ever.

Best of luck.

move, seriously i don't think there is any authority or agency that can prohibit your neigh boor from having his dogs bark as long as he is within the guidelines of the city and the assuring the well health of the dogs you are basically screwed.. if the situation was that he had 12 dogs then that would be different most cities have their rule that establishes the number of dogs a residence can have.. and i agree with you not nice to have barking dogs when u dont have dogs
