Telling the story while watching

I watched an old movie yesterday with my aunt and I was really irritated while watching the movie. My aunt already saw the movie so while we were watching it, she keeps talking about the movie. She would tell me in advance what will happen so the thrill of watching is gone. I wanted to shout at her to stop talking but out of respect, I just keep quiet.

"Shut Up you old hag, we're trying to watch the movie"... No just kidding,
but I know what you mean... I have found that if you turn up the sound a
little and lean foreward and intensely watch the TV, this will sometimes help...

Ha-ha! Another annoying thing that happens is when the person who has seen it says things like, "Oh, this is a really good part, or a really scary part or a sad part." (whichever it happens to be)
That just ruins it for me!

eh. My mom does that. We have a good relationship, so I tell her "should I even watch the movie, or do you want to tell me how it ends?" It really gets me because if you say anything while she is watching she has a hissy!

This one is a real bad one. People do it all the time and you have to wonder. My daughters seemingly can't help themselves and find all kinds of ways to do the narration for me.

I absolutely hate when people do this. I have a friend who does something else equally as bad.....even if she hasn't seen the movie, she'll tell you what 'just' happened or what she think will happen, all the way through the movie. So frustrating!

that is fracking annoying, i hate it when people tell you most of the plot line or gods forbid even the end of a film before you've watched it, are watching it or they are trying to convince you to watch it... im like thanks there is so much point in me watching it now that you have told me all about it. id rather see something at the cinema or watch something by myself.... everyone else seems to talk through a film they havent seen.... a low level of the circles of hell for them me thinks!
