Negative ad campaigns

Is all thed negative campaigning between Barack and Hilary necessary? Sure I understand that the stakes are high and that they are both campaigning to shopw that each is better than the other as the candidate of choice. But do they have to get so down at each other's throats?

Its always like this with politics. Its one of the reasons many people do not go out and vote. They intend to, but by time the campaigning is done they are fed up with greedy, evil politicians and don't think anyone they've seen running is worthy of running the country.

I think it must depend on where you live because I have not seen a single ad for any presidential candidate in about 5 months. I just wish they would stick to the issues but that never happens in any political campaign.

I agree that choosing politicians these days is pretty much a choice between the lesser of the two evils but for some reason, poor me, I thought these two would have been campaigning at a higher level. They just couldn't keep it up.
