The list of reasons why I no longer bother with a theater (unless the movie is uber special) is lengthy.
It starts with cell phones.
Expands to people bringing their whiny kids to a totally inappropriate film and them not leaving when the kid gets bored and loud.
Grows longer with the new parents and the infant who they just couldn't bear to leave home with a sitter that begins crying a quarter way through and they also don't leave.
Never mind the talker that always manages to sit behind me and proceed to tell his buddies all the "cool stuff" that's about to happen.
The 30 minutes now of enforced advertising (before you even get to the previews) was really the last straw. Ive paid for my ticket, I shouldn't have to sit through adverts on top of it.
I married an audio/video-phile and as a result our set-up is exceptional for movie watching. I'll stay home and wait for the DVD.
