Arg-Long Time Without Income

Ok I got scammed. My own stupid fault. I had to shut down a bank account because of it.

Well I got told today that whilst the new direct deposit application is being processed I will have to be paid by cheque-which takes up to two weeks to process That means the pay day I was expecting on the 26th won't come till at least the 9th June......again I say ARG! I haven't a clue how I will get through-then there's clearing time on top. Long time without money.....sigh. Beans and rice here we come.....

Two extra weeks for a check? Is this a normal bank account or an internet only such as Paypal? I know when I changed my DD at work when I got married I got a check without even being told (although I anticipated it) and the same time as everyone else. I would have been super ticked if they thought I was gonna wait three extra weeks for a physical check.

Depending the type of check it can take that long. I am dealing with one now that has yet to credit since its an out of state person check, pain in the...... for sure.
