Default Firefox 3

Just a note team that the forum and Firefox v3.0 don't seem to be playing well together. Scrolling especially seems to be an issue.

Everything works, more or less, it's just scrolling and sometimes loading the reply pages seems to take longer than it should.

I am having no problems, and have been using FF version three since an early beta release. The forum has experienced no changes in performance since I made the switch from version 2.

This is the only forums where the scrolling is not smooth, but rather choppy. I've got FF3 running with Vista if that makes any difference at all.

I don't know what, if anything, can be done; maybe patching there's a patch for the forum software? Just thought I'd let the mods know.

I don't know how long you have been running Firefox here...
And this is only a guess mind you, but maybe it has not had
time to install the nessasary cookies to get up to speed...

I don't think cookies have anything to do with the way a forum scrolls. If I'm the only one having problems so be it.

Cookies don't effect scrolling. Memory and settings for your mouse/screen effect scrolling.

Have you recently dropped your mouse or updated the drivers? I know mine has a third button than if I drop it wrecks havok until I "unclick" it. I haven't viewed the forum with the release version of three yet, but my Betas worked just fine. I did notice some jumpy/glitchy stuff the first couple times I used the release version though so perhaps just poke through the browser settings to ensure the scrolling is set the way you like it?

Have you checked around everywhere if there is an option for Smooth scroll or the likes ?, sometimes they're hidden away at the dumbest of places.

Just installed the Third revision of Fox, noticed a slight hacking during the scroll. I checked the Smooth scroll box and now it runs like it used to.

Cheers, mate.

I'll try that and see how it works.

I am still sticking with Firefox 2 at the moment, and I am not planning to upgrade until 3 gets a little more ironed out and stable. Not to mention, I think Firefox 2 will still be supported for at least a few months longer yet. Until then, i'm staying where I am.

I'm using FF 3 and haven't had a bit of problem with these forums or any other sites. I have heard a few people mention instability in relation to FF 3 but I have yet to encounter any difficulty beyond Roboform not working with it, which isn't a big loss to me.
