You're kidding me, right? Um, yeah, Knight Rider was awesome in the 80s, but WHY are they doing a new series? Can writers not come up with original ideas anymore?

And come on fidget, its not like this is something new...
How many star trek series have there been now, I've lost count...
When they find something that does good in the rating they stick with it...
Makes pretty good sense I think...

Did anyone actually watch this when it premiered? I was actually looking forward to it but was really disappointed. I thought the acting was horrendous, especially the 2 main characters.
The only cool thing about it was when Kitt changed the color of his car.

but I didn't think it was any worse than
David Hasselhoff in the earlier Knight Rider series...

Man that new car is pretty nice I am a sucker for mustangs, but something about the old Kitt just makes me warm & fuzzy inside. The new one was alright, the acting did suck but I have no idea - is it coming back or no?

Kitt is definitely the reason for the shows. All the fleshies are just there to give him a reason to show off his stuff saving their butts.

I agree the new one is awful. I mean his "son" being the new main character? please. At least Hoff made a cameo.

I have read some rumors that the new series could start in November,
but it sounds real iffy... I think it will happen though being this movie
had the best ratings of any made for TV movie the network had seen
in years... One thing that I didn't like about the new car, was Kitt's voice...
In the old series it sounded kinda like Kitt was talking in a can and the voice
was coming from a small speaker under the dash... Where as in this movie kitt
just sounded like some one else sitting in the car... Did anyone else notice that
or is it just my imagination ???

It is noticeable, but maybe its from you know us being in the geeky world we are in now. I just fluffed it off to that rather than wonder why - took too much effort. :D

Watched the premier and it wasn't enough to make me watch the whole series. It's sort of like the Sarah Connor-Terminator series. ECK! The Hoff did make an appearance. Man, is he old! But I think Knight Rider is so much associated with him already that it will never be the same. Plus with cars coming out that can actually park itself, KITT has to give this techie age so much more.
