American Idol Season 7 Bet

Who do you think will win the contest this season? I'm betting on David Cook. My first choice in the Hollywood week was David Herchuleta but after some more songs, I think he is not improving in his singing, not like Cook who is getting better and better every week.

My husband said this about David Cook: "He's so good, he reminds me of Chris Daughtry and Bo Bice." My retort: "Neither of them won."

I used to think David Archuleta would win too but now, I'm rooting for David Cook.

I agree, it's going to be David Cook. Unless Carly Smithson can really build up a big fan base because she is really good.
David Archulletta has an amazing voice but seems to have trouble with his song choices.

I can't say I can pick a clear winner at this point. There is still some chance for leverage changes as people get knocked off, but Cook is one of my favorites so far. I'd love for it to be someone who is really going to make it far, as many of the past season's winners haven't gone as far as they could have.

David Cook is definitely very solid - probably the most solid (voice-wise / consistency) of the bunch. However, his cocky attitude has GOT to go. He's his own biggest obstacle from actually winning the thing. David Archuletta is just so likeable he'll definitely be down to final two... and Carly Smithson - I can't believe she was ever in the bottom three.... I would think she'll make it to final two. She's incredible when she's on, but is definitely prone to a bad night here and there.

I'm going to say it will boild down to the two Davids as the last men standing.

It's turning into a pretty good season. I was really surprised last week when Michael Johns went home. And how are Kristi Cook and Sayesha still hanging in there? They both should be long gone!

I agree! Sayesha is a good singer but she really doesn't seem to be very appealing. It's like she's another big-belter but that's about it.
