Default Kitchen Nightmares

I'll probably regret even bringing this topic up (please, no real life horror stories of what goes on in restaurant kitchens or i'll never eat out again) but does anyone here watch any of the Gordon Ramsey shows - eg Kitchen Nightmares? I love any show he has been on so far, this one is no exception. Some of those people are just such mindless idiots that run the restaurants he's in to save, it's amazing they were even able to figure out how to start a business in the first place.

I have watched Hell's Kitchen but I haven't seen the Kitchen Nightmare. I guess I should see this series. I'm really amazed by how Ramsey handle his people (or contestants) and still get the delicacy as delicious as it should be.

About kitchen nightmares, I did have one nightmare happened to one evening in a local restaurant when I found a leg of cockroach in my soup. I never ever ordered that kind of soup until now and I guess for the rest of my life.

I have watched every show that he has released and I love them all. The guy is a genius in the kitchen, and could turn any failing restaurant around if only the idiots in charge would let him.

I was less pleased with Kitchen Nightmares than Hell's Kitchen. It was still pretty good but some of the people you really have to wonder if they deserve what they get by the end of the show. I mean some restaurants are just not meant to last.

I actually enjoy this show as well - i found a late night marathon of it one night when i was having trouble sleeping... by around the 4th episode it was really late but i was fighting to stay awake to see what happened. The restaurant owner in that episode was just so freaking lazy and unappreciative of his help. When he went back to visit the place had shut down. Nice to know they don't all have happy endings

I agree that too often they don't deserve his help. I mean really why would you call him and the show in if you were not willing to accept the help and advice that was going to be offered to you?

On the one episode I referred to with the unbelievably lazy girl.... Her father had financed the restaurant and I'm willing to venture a guess that he is the one that contacted the show. It was really a good (but frustrating) episode to watch.

I'm glad to hear they finally just let a show have a bad ending. I was starting to worry they were going to fix any idiot whether or no they deserved it or could handle it after Ramsey left.

I enjoy watching this show as well. It is amazing to me the ego's on some of these chefs. They think that their food just can't be improved and are so unwilling to change.
On the other hand, it makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like in some of the restaurants I eat at.

I love reality TV and "Kitchen Nightmares" is another good one. Some of the episodes are downright funny due to the personalities involved. I agree that many of these restaurants should just be allowed to 'die'.
