Default Too Much Reality Game Shows?

We have American Idol, Who's Smarter than a 5th Grader, Amnesia, Deal or No Deal...and the list goes on.

Last week, they came up with Secret Talents of Celebrities and I heard this morning that after ONE episode, the entire show got cancelled. So do you think we have already reached a saturation point on game shows?

"the Secret Talents of Celebrities"? What, does that involve rolling your tongue four ways or shooting ping pongs out your ____?

Yeah, market saturation. Just leave it at Jeopardy and the Price is Right.

I think we're passed market saturation. It follows a basic formula and they just keep churning out more of them. I guess the networks like them because they are easy to put together. Come up with one idea to base the show on and after that nobody has to do a whole lot of thinking.

Default Too many reality shows in general

I get enough reality in my life. I watch television to escape from reality! LOL. Seriously, it really is getting bad with Tori, Ozzie, Gene, Ed...if you don't have a current movie, try a reality show.

I like some of the new game shows ok, not a lot mind you...
I like that you can turn it on in the middle of the
show and its still pretty entertaining... You don't
have to watch it from the start to know whats
going on... And some of the shows you can play
the flash games online like "Deal_Or_No_Deal"...
Click on the pic below to play the game...

No, I don't think we are at market saturation yet. Obviously, the key is it has to be a show that people will watch. I like Are You Smarter than a 5th grader because it is different every week. On the other hand, how could you watch Deal or No Deal week after week?
