The 'Lost' Thread (spoilers!)

Ya totally got me. They'll eventually have to sync up the stotylines. I'm guessing at some point there will be a title card that says "One Year Later" on the island.

Yeah, that's a tough one to answer. I think I've heard rumours that this next season should deal with all the stuff that happens once they're off the Island, plus possibly what's still happening on the Island after they've left. Then the last Season will deal with them trying to get back to the Island again.

How do you guys think they will structure next season? Will they start with the 3 years that are missing, with flash fowards to Jack trying to get everyone to go back? Or with the main story be trying to go back with flashbacks to the missing 3 years?

I'm thinking the main storyline for Season 5 is going to be about the Oceanic 6 trying to get back to the island; I think we're going to see a lot less of the island next season, except for the occassional clip.

I guess that would make the interspersed islad clips "Flash... uh... Sideways"?

I have a feeling we will have alternating episodes, some mainland, some island. You know they have something planned for Claire, and we'll have to see how everything goes to poo after the island was moved...

I don't think we'll hear from Claire again much until they finally start to reveal more about why there's so many dead people running around. As for moving the island, that may be the big "mid-season" reveal - seeing all the damage done to the island at once, rather than seeing it slowly revealed through multiple episodes.

Of course, I'm just guessing here - I could be totally wrong.

I think that the season will start with them trying to get back to the island and it will be one year later and I bet the flash everywheres will stop. They really don't need to show what happened on the island over that time period. Or they will do flashbacks about what happened to those left on the island once they return.

I do believe I remember heard about some highlights of a podcast or interview with the producers of the show who outlined the remaining two seasons of Lost. Next season was supposed to deal with what happens on the Island after Jack and rest leave, as well as how the Oceanic Six are dealing with life in the regular world. Then the last season was supposed to focus mainly on their effort to get back to the Island again. But as with most anything on this show.... Who knows.
