Walmart is actually a great resource for DVD movies... I usually raid that huge $5 movie bin they stick in the middle of the aisle (please tell me all walmart's have these). There's actually some really good titles in there.
Aside from that, i'm not disciplined enough to actually set a budget, though I should. I have a real weakness about buying new releases that first week they go out at that $16ish "sales" price. |

I have no budget specifically for DVDs, but I do know that with the budget for the rest of my life being so tight, I haven't much money to spare for them. I tend to wait till they are no longer brand new, and if I am not desperate to see them then I wait even longer.
But the best for me is the legally downloaded rentals that you can do online. Not too expensive and I can get them to watch without ever leaving my office. |

I really ought to form a budget for DVDs as this seems to drain our "petty spending" fund often.
If it's a movie I'm pretty sure I'll like or watch more than once, I buy it. With rental prices around here being $5 a pop, it's worth it to buy. Especially at the aforementioned Walmartish prices! |
