April 1st-Sweeny Todd

Sweeny Todd, the demon barber is released on DVD on the 1st of April. I am sure that it will be on On Demand pretty soon after so I am not sure that I will rush out to get the DVD, but I am really looking forward to seeing it, so I may just do that.

Anyone pre-order it yet? Amazon has the pre-order set up.

I don't preorder but I do find a way to get to Walmart at 7am or right after. I will definitely be out getting this one as a belated birthday present (last year I had to wait for Happy Feet too). I cannot wait to drive the neighbor nuts with the music.

I listened to it more than watched it (I just don't do well with throat slitting). The singing was really surprisingly good - and my friend that actually watched it said it was fantastic. Frankly, i don't think you can go too terribly wrong where Johnny Depp is concerned...

I finally saw it and it was a really good movie. Very bloody I should say. I think Johnny Depp is superb.

We watched it the Tuesday it came out. It was superb. The singing was fabulous and the effects were just as amazing as anything Burton does. I think we'll be picking up the soundtrack to play in the car.

I liked every Tim Burton film I have ever seen, and Sweeny Todd looks to uphold the same high standards of the rest of his work.

Johnny Depp is an excellent actor, and he works especially well in the context of a Tim Burton movie. Maybe that's why there are so many Burton films with Depp in them!
