Default The Mummy: Tomb of Dragon Emperor

My son has told me in his own way, just what he wants this Christmas. He has quite nicely 'reminded' me that the next Mummy sequel should be out next month - and before Christmas. I never particularly liked the first 2 but I'll more than likely get it for him.

See I'm the opposite I like the first Mummy movie. The following sequels not so much. At least he was 'nice' about the reminder. Don't forget it ma!

I liked the first two movies really, but beyond that it was getting a little silly. The premise is ok, but like many movies that become a series, its just going too far.

The Mummy series is the exact definition of popcorn flicks, and not exactly something that would or should be remembered as classics. They are summer blockbusters to watch with friends once or twice, and then move on to something better and more thought provoking. Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor looks to continue this trend, not like anyone should have expected differently anyway.

Never heard the term popcorn flick, actually-and they don't sound like something I would watch twice. Ah well, we're not missing much.

In some point I really don't like the movie because of the "Karate" thing and the "3 head dragon". Never heard of a Dragon mummy before.

Yeah, this movie really seemed to kill the original concept for the Mummy series, but I guess they felt it was time to change things around a little bit. The movie did pretty well with sales too I think, but i'm not sure HOW well.

Other than some decent special effects, I wasn't real impressed with this movie. The first one wasn't bad but I should have waited to rent the sequels.

I would consider this movie to be a rental at best, and even then only if you could find it for a dollar or so. The Dragon Emperor was just the latest in a long line of Popcorn films that are soon forgotten about, not long after release.

I just need it to give as a gift to someone

I saw this movie, it was good, but not as good as the previous parts.
