From three first-class comedy writers, Jonathan Harvey (Beautiful Thing), Simon Nye (Men Behaving Badly) and Tim Firth (Calendar Girls), comes this comic trilogy, featuring a trio of quirky characters who struggle to break free from self-imposed prisons in which they are' trapped' Von Trapped! - Maria Moogan (Caroline Quentin - Men Behaving Badly) is obsessed with The Sound of Music, but when she travels to Salzburg to try to end her compulsion, she makes a discovery that changes her life forever. Beauty - Hideous aristocrat Tom Fitzhenry (Martin Clunes - Saving Grace) hides his face from the world in his decaying family mansion. When a pretty plumber (Sienna Guillory ' The Virgin Queen) comes to fix the pipes, he is forced to venture outside - if he is to have any chance at romance. King of Fridges - Eager to prove himself, anxious assistant manager Alan (Mark Benton - The Booze Cruise) gets stuck on the rooftop of his store with an obnoxious elderly trainee (Richard Wilson - One Foot in the Grave) when things go awry on a busy bank holiday.
