The movie is poignant partly because it touches on a topic that deeply affects us all: 9/11 and also because it tackles that desire to be free of what society dictates and to just not take crap from anyone. I can't say acting is superb. It's just okay. The movie also tries to inject humor in emotional scenes. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It is a movie though that will make you think. If you don't find it appealing enough to watch at the onset, my advice would be to just give this movie a try or the benefit of the doubt. More likely than not, you won't regret watching it. (close)

Horton Hears a WHO! Movie Review

I think what I found most refreshing about this movie is that it took me a while to figure out which characters Jim Carey and Steve Carell were playing. It seriously could have been the other way around and I really like that. It felt like they were actually making an effort to play the characters as opposed to just being a famous voice in an animated cartoon.
