snookumsnort I saw this on New Year's Eve and I don't regret missing the Time Square ball drop on TV for this. It stars Christian Bale as a soldier whose plane gets shot down in Laos a few years before the Vietnam war. It basically tells of his escape from his captors and his survival. It definitely isn't Rambo. It's more like Survivor at war...very strategic, mentally exhausting and all that stuff. I... Del Toro to direct The Hobbit

Del Toro will move to New Zealand for the next four years to work with Jackson and his Wingnut and WETA production teams. He will helm the two films back to back – telling the story of “The Hobbit,” and its sequel, which will deal with the 60-year period between “The Hobbit” and “The Fellowship of the Ring,” the first of the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy.
