Genre: Drama
Starring: Peter Paige, Kathy Najimy

Written, directed and starring Peter Paige of “Queer as Folk” fame, his new film tells the story of a gay artist named Paul (Paige) who returns from his telemarketing job one day to some very distressing news – his closest friends, The Fabers are moving to Japan, and they’re taking Paul’s two year-old godson Morgan with them. Paul immediately shifts into serious denial, going so far as to miss the Faber’s final departure. Sinking into depression, Paul’s friend Russell (Anthony Clark) innocently convinces him to venture inside and play with some kids, bringing Paul out of his slump. Newly energized, Paul starts a desperate search to replace his lost relationship with his godson.
While Paul enthusiastically pursues any and every opportunity that might afford him contact with children – working in a toy store, babysitting, adoption – he also passes many hours playing with the assembled children in the playground. One child’s mother, Maggie (Kathy Najimy), figures out that Paul is there alone – and quickly decides he’s up to no good.

Tropic Thunder Movie Review
I thoroughly enjoyed the first half of the movie, but about halfway through my interested started to drop. There were still a couple good moments in the second half, but not as many as I expected.

Pineapple Express Movie Review
I think ‘stoner’ comedies are funny. I’ve watched the Cheech and Chong movies numerous times (although I probably shouldn’t have seen them at the age I did), and I love Harold and Kumar…but would I love Dale and Saul, the stoner buddies of Pineapple Express? The answer is a resounding YES!

National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets
It would be pretty easy to be scathing about this movie if it weren't for the fact that I don't think it sets its ambitions that high in the first place. If you've watched the first installment of National Treasure you'll know that everyone involved is looking to make a film that tries nothing more than to be entertaining for a couple of hours.

We Own the Night Movie Review
We Own the Night is one of those solid police movies that tries to rely on straight forward story telling rather leaning on a multitude of action scenes. Unfortunately, the script doesn't really carry the weight of expectation as only Phoenix's character gets the chance to display any real complexity.

The Savages Movie Review
I like dark comedies. I love laughing at things that I probably shouldn’t be laughing at, but do anyway. So when I first saw previews for the movie The Savages, I felt that it was a movie right up my alley, and I was right. This movie is more family drama, but it does have some dark comedy thrown in at just the right moments to help lighten the drama.
