This surprises a lot of people, but I have never been a Beatles fan and never really understood why there was *so* much commotion over them. I could easily take or leave their music (preferably leave). However, I will say that after seeing this movie, I did run out to get the soundtrack - which is a rarity for me... For some reason I actually LIKED the music when sung by somone other than the Beatles themselves. Go figure. I do agree that the movie was a little disconjointed, but at the end of the day I enjoyed this for the music alone (not to mention that Jim Sturgess is easy on the eyes).

I thought this movie was great! I thought the characters were well developed, and very engaging. I felt the script was also good in making sure there was decent dialogue that led well into the songs. I also liked how they showed lots of things that happened during the time period (vietnam, riots, dr. martin luther king's assasination, etc.) that's a lot to put in one movie, plus beatles music! i'd be exhausted! haha.
